Slimy Doom

This page spells out the disease more clearly than has been done in-game. PC’s could have learned all of it, by careful study and interviewing survivors. Clever use of this wiki may reduce casualties / numbers of Slime Demons appearing.

Slimy Doom

level 11 disease
Endurance DC 23 to stabilize, DC 27 to recover(up 1 stage). Check after each extended rest.
A healer can substitute a heal check for the victim’s endurance check.

Initial Stage: Lose 1 healing surge.

Second Stage: Take ongoing damage 5 (save ends) both when the endurance roll is failed and when becoming bloodied. If this damage kills you, then you become a pool of slime. (Coughing up slime)

Final Stage: Take ongoing damage 15 (save ends) both when the endurance roll is failed and when becoming bloodied. If this damage kills you, then you become either a Whelp of Zargon or other types of oozes.

If infected during encounter, make a save to shake off disease. Symptoms appear after the first extended rest. The disease progresses during each extended rest.

Outlook: three days after exposure 20% transform, 10% die, 5 % recover, then 33% transform day 4, 30% transform day 5

  • Note: A Paragon healer, can focus on those most likely to recover. Successful heal checks will return either final or second stage victims to the initial stage, or cure someone in the initial stage.
